We’re looking for an Assistant Electrical Technician to join our team and play a key role in keeping our electrical systems running safely and reliably. In this hands-on role, you’ll support the installation, maintenance, and repair of essential electrical infrastructure, including distribution boards, wiring, generators, UPS systems, and DC backup systems.

You’ll work closely with experienced technicians and contractors, assisting with fault finding, preventive maintenance, and ensuring all work is carried out to the highest safety standards.   • Willing to complete the Wireman License A & B
  • Minimum 6 months in a technical role involving electrical installations or maintenance.
  • Valid driving license, issued by the Maltese Government.
  • Basic understanding or hands-on experience to electrical maintenance basic fault finding, and assisting with systems installations.
  • Familiarity with, or a strong eagerness to learn about critical power infrastructure such as UPS and DC backup systems.
  • Ability to read foundational technical schematics and basic layouts with an aptitude for learning how to navigate and interpret comprehensive commissioning reports.

  • MCAST or technical institute qualification (MQF Level 3 Diploma) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

If this describes you, here’s a glimpse of what you will be doing in this position:

  • Assist in carrying out inspections, installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Help diagnose and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner to minimise downtime.
  • Support the maintenance of Generators, UPS systems, DC backup systems, and distribution networks.
  •  Strictly adhere to health and safety standards and statutory regulations while working on all electrical systems.
  • Assist in surveying facilities and electrical systems, reporting any deficiencies or risks to superiors.
  • Help maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs carried out.
  • Coordinate with and monitor contractors during electrical works, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and health and safety standards
  • Prepare tools, materials, and technical documentation necessary for tasks
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors, including ad-hoc assignments.
