We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrical Technician to support the ongoing safety, performance, and reliability of our electrical infrastructure. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of electrical systems, including distribution boards, wiring, power systems (such as generators, UPS, and DC backup), and other installations. The successful candidate will also be responsible for fault diagnosis, supervising external contractors, and ensuring full compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

- Being in possession of a valid electrical certification in electrical wirings and fittings (Wireman license A).
- The candidate shall also be required to be willing to complete the Wireman License B;
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical role involving electrical installations or maintenance.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics, layouts, and commissioning reports.
- Demonstrated experience in electrical maintenance, fault finding, and system installations.
- Excellent Team Player and eager to keep on learning throughout his/her career;
- Strong problem-solving skills;
- Must be able to work on your own initiative, with minimal supervision;
- Candidate must possess a valid driving licence
Here’s how you can hit a few plus points for this position:
- Being in possession of an MCAST or technical institute MQF level 4 qualification (Diploma) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent will be considered as an asset
- Being in possession of Wireman License B
- Demonstrated experience on Air-conditioning and electrical systems
- Basic understanding of access control, security and fire systems;
- Fluency in Maltese & English.
If this describes you, here’s a glimpse of what you will be doing in this position:
- Carry out inspections, installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner to minimise downtime.
- Support the maintenance of Generators, UPS systems, DC backup systems, and distribution networks.
- Ensure electrical systems comply with health and safety standards and statutory regulations.
- Assist in surveying facilities and electrical systems, reporting any deficiencies or risks to superiors.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs carried out.
- Supervise contractors during electrical works, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and health and safety standards
- Prepare tools, materials, and technical documentation necessary for tasks.
- Participate in the on-call roster and respond to emergency requests.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors, including ad-hoc assignments.
