  • Familiarity with Telecommunications technologies such as fiber optics, telephony, and IPTV;
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision;
  • Technical qualifications such as City and Guilds, CCNA, or similar;
  • Knowledge of electrical systems or networking;
  • A Wireman License or interest in obtaining one.

If this describes you, here’s a glimpse of what you will be doing:

  • Rectifying faults and solving issues in customers' homes or business premises;
  • Jumpering and patching services in cabinets, MSANs, and test rooms;
  • Maintaining and upgrading network infrastructure, including distribution points and drops;
  • Working at heights and in open manholes or confined spaces as required;
  • Using GO systems to provision, update records, and manage stock;
  • Performing stock-related tasks such as ordering equipment and returning equipment;
  • Participating in on-call schedules, overtime, and work continuation as needed;
  • Supporting the deployment of new technologies such as energy management and home networking;
  • Assisting in the installation of network infrastructure, IoT devices, and structured cabling in homes and businesses;
  • Providing basic setup and installation of devices such as TVs, printers, and routers;
  • Adhering to health and safety protocols and assisting in ensuring best practices on the field.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc tasks as requested according to company needs.
