Does this sound like you? Here’s what you need to have to match our requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years in sales, with a strong track record in Telco, Datacentres, and Cloud solutions.
  • Strong understanding of telco products (VoIP, VoBB, wired/wireless networks, data services, fibre optics).
  • Prior experience managing and motivating a high-performing sales team. 
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Experience in lead generation, prospecting, and pipeline management.
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiating and closing large, complex deals with enterprise clients.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for product demos, proposals, and pitches.
  • Strong analytical skills for market analysis, competitor research, and sales forecasting.
  • Ability to interpret KPIs and sales data to drive decision-making and optimize performance.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of telecom, financial, public sector, and datacentre industries, including trends, new technologies, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to set performance goals, monitor progress, and implement improvement plans.

If this describes you, here’s a glimpse of what you will be doing in this position:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies based on industry trends, customer needs, and market opportunities.
  • Works closely with senior leadership to set revenue targets, sales forecasts, and growth objectives.
  • Oversee and maximize the company’s revenue streams by aligning pricing, product positioning, and sales efforts with strategic business goals.
  • Oversee and refine sales processes to improve efficiency, team productivity, and customer acquisition.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers to establish trust and facilitate deal closure.
  • Lead and support major deal negotiations, particularly for high-value or complex contracts.
  • Understand customer pain points and ensure the company’s solutions are meeting market demands. 
  • Works with technical, legal and account management team to ensure smooth deal execution and post-sale transition.
  • Set performance goals for the sales team and track individual and team progress against key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Report on key metrics, including revenue performance, sales pipeline health, and team progress to management.
  • Analyse and adopt best practices to continuously improve sales performance and team efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Enhance brand positioning and market awareness to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and alliances to expand the company’s reach and capabilities.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team, ensuring high performance and continuous professional development.
